Compliance and how we protect you

Ruso Property holds full Public Liability Insurance covering our management activity at the properties we look after. Short lets bring a steady flow of guests, cleaners, linen deliveries and maintenance contractors through your door, and that movement carries risk that a standard long-let arrangement never has to consider.

• Cover is in place for our operational activity at your property, so a third-party incident does not land on your doorstep unprotected.
• It sits alongside your own buildings, contents and short-let insurance rather than replacing it, and we will always tell you where the lines fall.
• Insurers, mortgage lenders and letting agents increasingly ask managing agents to evidence cover. We can provide our certificate on request.

Ruso Property is a registered organisation with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) under the Data Protection Act 2018. Registration is a public commitment: it means we have declared how and why we process personal data, and we are accountable to the UK's data protection regulator for doing it properly.

• We collect only what we need to value a property, manage a booking or answer an enquiry, and we keep it for only as long as it is useful.
• Landlord and guest data is stored in secure systems with restricted access. We do not sell or trade personal data.
• You can ask us at any time what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and we will act on that request.

Consent should be easy to give and just as easy to withdraw. Every marketing email, SMS and WhatsApp message we send carries a clear, working way out, and we honour it immediately rather than after one more send.

• Emails include an unsubscribe link in the footer of every send.
• Text messages accept a single-word reply of STOP, which removes the number from all future messaging automatically.
• You can also simply email us or message us on WhatsApp and ask to be removed. No reason needed, no retention calls.
• Opting out of marketing never affects service messages about a property we already manage for you.
